The Project
Sunrise Garden Hills is the latest addition to Sunrise Pelion Villas, located in the village of Makryrachi. Offering stunning views of the mountain and the sea, it is situated near one of the best beaches in Pelion, Agioi Saranta, which is also one of the top beaches in Greece. Since May 2021, Sunrise Garden Hills has been open to the public.
The complex consists of three houses spread over three levels. Each house has two bedrooms with a private bathroom and a shared bathroom, a minimalist living room, and a kitchen. On the second floor, there is an additional independent house with two rooms and a bathroom. The ground floor features a barbecue area, outdoor dining, a spacious lawn for children with an outdoor jacuzzi, and several play areas for kids beneath the garden.
The KAFKAS team was responsible for the design, aiming to highlight both the external and internal spaces of the villas. To create a premium aesthetic for the guests and passers-by of Sunrise Garden Hills, outdoor lighting fixtures were used to highlight the stone and wood elements of the Pelion architecture. Inside, materials and products like interior lighting fixtures, LED strips, cables, panels, rail systems, and optical fiber lighting were utilized. Under the guidance of our experts, all interior spaces were equipped and illuminated with high-quality materials to create an environment that combines intimacy with luxury.
Challenges of the Project
A major challenge for the KAFKAS team was to create a lighting design that would harmonize the architectural features of Sunrise Garden Hills with the natural environment of the area. Another challenge was the design and installation of materials that would combine quality, durability, and energy efficiency. Despite the difficulties, the project was successfully completed, fulfilling the vision of our experts.
From Vision to Design
The dominant structural elements were stone, wood, and iron. Our vision was to implement a lighting design that would unite the exterior and interior of Sunrise Garden Hills with the natural surroundings and Pelion-style architecture. The idyllic location, blending the magic of the mountains and the sea, was a key inspiration for the lighting of the facilities.
