The Project

The Kamares Boutique Hotel is one of the most famous mansions in the center of Ioannina. Located in the historic Siarava neighborhood, just outside the castle walls, on Zalokosta street, this mansion dates back to the late 18th century. It has been beautifully restored and transformed into a Boutique Hotel, preserving all the charming elements of its time, which are harmoniously blended with the uniquely mysterious atmosphere that fills its spaces. This creates a dreamlike journey back in time for every guest, combined with all modern amenities. The hotel offers a banquet hall, a spa, and an inner courtyard.

Challenges of the Project

The building, dating from the 18th century, is one of the last masterpieces of traditional architecture that has been preserved. The challenge was to combine the distinct architectural style of the Ioannina mansions with modern aesthetics, comfort, safety, and energy efficiency. These were the driving forces behind the successful completion of the project.

From Vision to Design

The fusion of traditional architecture with contemporary aesthetics and functionality was the key inspiration for highlighting the history of the place, the Ioannina mansion style, the textures of the stone walls, and creating a warm, familiar, and comfortable environment that would make every guest forget the daily routine. At the same time, the design aimed to simplify hotel management for the staff, meeting all technical requirements.
