The Project
Tilia Resort is located in Mouresi, one of the most beautiful villages in Eastern Pelion. Situated at an altitude of 200 meters above sea level, the resort spans 26 acres, hosting ten suites, a restaurant, a cocktail bar, a pool with a pool bar, and a gym. The resort offers a unique location with views of the Aegean Sea and is close to some of the most famous beaches of Pelion.
Challenges of the Project
A key challenge for the KAFKAS team, in collaboration with the designer of the resort, was harmonizing the lighting fixtures (for both interior and exterior spaces) and the switchgear with the traditional architecture of the buildings. Additionally, the selection of lighting materials had to ensure their resilience to the challenging climatic conditions of the region.
From Vision to Design
The vision of the team was to choose and use lighting fixtures that would blend seamlessly with the architecture of the buildings, while ensuring visual comfort and safety for both the guests and the staff of the resort. Another goal was to reduce the environmental footprint of the resort, which was achieved by replacing all old conventional bulbs with energy-efficient LED technology.
