Power factor correction panel boards (BTS) are used in LV electrical networks to correct and improve the power factor of the system. The power factor (or cosφ) is a way to measure the electrical efficiency in a network. A high power factor (close to 1) indicates the efficient energy use, while a low power factor (close to 0) indicates the peresense of high losses in the system.
PFC LV panel boards are designed to enhance the power factor as well as to minimize power losses in the grid. This is achieved through the use of devices that compensate the reactive power generated during the operation of alternating currents (AC). These devices include dc capacitors and dc resistors.
PFC LV panel boards are mainly used in commercial and industrial facilities to improve the power efficiency of the electrical system, reduce power losses and of course fines imposed by the power suppliers (PPC) due to low power factor.
Our company cooperates with the leading manufacturers of Power Factor Correction Panels such as ORTEA/ICAR, COMAR.
