The Energy Solutions and Lighting Solutions team of KAFKAS supported the study and material supply for the new school building of the 7th High School of Agrinio Municipality under the “Western Greece 2014-2020” program.

The new building covers 1,584.88 m² and meets state-of-the-art specifications with a basement, ground floor, and first floor. It includes photovoltaic panels, sports fields, access ramps, five parking spaces (one of which is for people with disabilities), and green spaces.

KAFKAS’ approach to the new school of the 7th High School of Agrinio Municipality aims to distinguish it as a “model” in sustainability and environmental protection by using innovative solutions and products. The challenge of creating an energy-independent building and school complex was addressed by utilizing natural resources like solar radiation and natural light, along with energy-saving technologies such as photovoltaic systems and LED lighting. Additionally, emphasis was placed on the excellent lighting design, which provides visual comfort for both students and teachers across all areas, ensuring uniform light distribution.

The new school is now considered the most modern school in Greece (a model), as the structure and technical features of the building and its surroundings contribute to the transition to “green” sustainability, resource conservation for the Municipality, and versatile utilization of the space.
