The Project

The management of the Cactus Mare Hotel, part of the Cactus Hotels group, decided on a complete renovation and transformation of the hotel into a 5-star establishment located on the beach of Stalida, Heraklion, Crete.

Kafkas’ Contribution

In close collaboration with the designers and all parties involved in the project, Kafkas’ Lighting team supported this project through the lighting design and proposals for all applications.

The solutions provided included lighting for both the rooms and the common areas, such as the lobby & reception, restaurant & spa, while considering the unique requirements of each space.

Kafkas contributed to the project by supplying:

• Cables, plastic components, gratings, and grounding materials
• Distribution boards (ragu-like)
• Emergency lighting
• Fire detection systems
• Industrial materials
• Lighting – Bulbs

The design of the hotel features a modern style overall, with a subtle presence of traditional elements. Similarly, the lighting design was required to harmonize with the architectural design and contribute to the creation of a welcoming atmosphere, which was the primary goal of the project.
