The Project

A former winery located on the beach of Kourouta in the prefecture of Ilia has been transformed into the luxurious Dexamenes Seaside Hotel, offering guests a unique experience of hospitality within old wine tanks dating back to the 1920s. In the summer of 2018, the hotel opened its doors with eight rooms and a villa in a neoclassical two-story building of the winery, with 240 square meters of interior space and a 50-square-meter private courtyard, including three bedrooms, a kitchen, and more. The complex is currently being expanded with the addition of more renovated winery facilities.

Kafkas’ Contribution

K-Studio entrusted Kafkas with providing complete lighting solutions, as well as equipment such as cables, switchgear, and electrical panels. The lighting application study was based on the discretion of the light sources, indirect lighting implementation, and special constructions that covered the aesthetic details of the local lighting required for the rooms. This design fully aligned with the architectural planning and the required lighting levels. Kafkas’ lighting department supported the project throughout, offering technical assistance and solutions for each lighting application.
