The Project

Paros Airport can now accommodate large aircraft, paving the way for direct international flights. Olympic Air undertook the construction of half of the new Paros Airport terminal building, along with additional infrastructure projects, including roads, parking areas, and surrounding facilities. The new 2,000-meter runway (with an operational length of 1,400 meters), funded by the Public Investment Program at a cost of €15.2 million, was completed and delivered on May 15, 2016, by the contractor INTRAKAT.

KAFKAS’ Contribution

For this project, KAFKAS provided solutions from its extensive product range. The project stakeholders, INTRAKAT (main contractor) and ROMVOS (subcontractor), sourced from KAFKAS key electrical components, including UPS systems, switches and sockets, motion detectors, cables, cable trays, plastic conduits, and Low Voltage panels. The technical solution offered for the LV panels allowed the contractor to optimize space and reduce equipment costs without compromising quality.
