The Project
With 22 floors and a total height of 88 meters, Piraeus Tower stands as a landmark of the Athenian Riviera, embodying both architectural significance and environmental responsibility. The renovation project aimed to transform the tower into a modern, sustainable, and technologically advanced structure.
Kafkas’ Contribution
Kafkas played a key role in the project by supplying low-voltage panels, structured cabling materials, underfloor outlets, electrical equipment, and electric vehicle chargers, significantly enhancing the tower’s functionality and technological excellence.
A comparative environmental study determined that renovating the tower was the most sustainable choice over new construction. By considering factors such as embodied energy, carbon footprint, materials, transportation, and construction processes, the study concluded that renovation significantly reduces environmental impact, making Piraeus Tower a model of sustainable urban development.
