The Project

Nestled in a lush, enchanting landscape near Chania, on a 10-acre plot between the villages of Armeni and Kalyves, lies the “Skordilon Manor”. Historical research places the building complex in the Venetian era, adding a unique touch to this project by preserving its historical presence while protecting the environment.

In such a distinctive space, now used for events, the lighting solution had to align with the client’s nature-focused approach, placing the surrounding nature as a priority, while also considering the unique features of the historical building and the majestic Cretan landscape.

Kafkas’ Contribution

The main goal of the lighting proposal was to highlight the buildings of the central and auxiliary areas with perimeter lighting, as well as the projection of specific points that showcased the aesthetics of the space, such as a small stone bridge, the church, and the fertile surrounding area, all using LED technology.
