The Project

Tsikeli is a hotel located at the foot of the towering rocks of Meteora, in the small and picturesque village of Kastraki. The environmentally friendly hotel stands out for its harmonious blend of traditional local architecture with modern facilities of high aesthetic value. Earthy tones, stone walls, and intricate wooden details dominate the layout of the hotel, evoking a sense of intimacy and warmth. Tsikeli offers a variety of accommodation options, including modern suites and rooms, each with its own character and fully equipped. Finally, it offers views of Meteora and a captivating natural landscape.

Challenges of the Project

A key challenge for our team, in collaboration with the engineer, was translating the traditional architecture and the feeling of the external natural environment into the interior spaces of the hotel, particularly in the lobby. Our team was tasked with using high-tech and aesthetically pleasing products in line with the specifications, ensuring aesthetic perfection in the space.

From Vision to Design

Our team’s vision was to execute the project with a focus on functionality, safety, aesthetics, and the integration of lighting into the traditional architecture of the building. The result we aimed for through lighting was to convey the essence of natural elements such as wood and raw sandstone into the interior environment of the lobby. This was achieved through the use of GU10 lamps and LED strips, all featuring push-button dimming and controllers from Master.
